About The Position

As a Process Operator in our Lafayette South Plant (formerly known as Tate & Lyle) you will be responsible for the safe operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of a highly automated, state of the art system that produces distinctive, high quality ingredients and solutions to the food, beverage, and other industries. Through our large-scale, efficient manufacturing plants, you will use innovative technology to turn raw materials into distinctive, high quality ingredients for our customers. These ingredients add taste, texture, nutrition and increased functionality to products that millions of people around the world use or consume every day.

Requirements

Must be able to demonstrate basic mathematics, reading comprehension, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

Associates degree or higher preferred
Three to five years related experience and/or training preferred.

Ability to teach both technology concepts and operating procedures to other technicians
Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, climb stairs, climb ladders, lift & carry 55 lbs, and perform other physical duties.
Knowledge of pumps, compressors, boilers, reactors, centrifuges, filtration and/or evaporation systems a plus.
Ability to work a 12-hour days to nights rotating shift schedule in a 365/24/7 operation with the flexibility to work alternate schedules and overtime.
