About The Position

The Process Technician is responsible for removing and mounting proper tooling, observing machines in operation, and making adjustments to control the rate and quality of production. This role involves providing supervision, motivation, and work direction to the department, as well as staffing and maintaining a fully qualified and efficient team to meet production objectives. The technician will create and maintain an environment that motivates employees to perform to their potential by coaching employees in proper teaming methods. They will assign work and provide technical assistance to meet production schedule and inventory requirements, and organize and coordinate interaction with molding to ensure machines, tools, and facilities are available to meet production requirements. Daily production reviews and analysis will be conducted to determine states against production goals. The role also includes leading teams, completing special projects, reporting EFF and MEF, approving bi-weekly payroll and related paperwork, and monitoring temporary staffing including safety, job performance, and weekly payroll approval. Any other duties as assigned are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Basic working knowledge of Excel and Word Software
  • Mechanical/Technical Aptitude
  • GED or High School Diploma required
  • Minimum 2 years as a Mold Technician or equivalent experience or Technical Certificates in Industrial Maintenance.
  • Systematic Injection Molding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, motivation and work direction to the department.

  • Supply accurate and timely data as required by performance tracking and reporting.
  • Apply resources in a manner which maximizes their effectiveness while assuring quality.
  • Maintain a work environment which will contribute to the assurance of safety and GMP compliance.
  • Adhere to established procedures, perform self-checking and pay attention to detail in the performance of you and your team’s work.
  • Notify management in a timely manner of any problems with procedural compliance.
  • Report observed quality problems and deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Make recommendations to management for improving the quality and efficiency of your work.
  • Oversee work to ensure projects are completed.
