About The Position

Newell Brands is seeking a Process Technician 1 to start, operate, and adjust manufacturing machinery and equipment. The role requires a focus on safety and quality, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to work independently. The technician monitors and documents machine status and maintenance work, diagnoses and corrects mechanical problems, calibrates equipment, and keeps the work area organized.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
• Ability to use hand tools, from common hand and power tools to fabrication tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking basic English.

Nice To Haves

• Technical certification.
• Forklift, crane, and other industrial vehicle experience.
• Two or more years of mechanical or technical experience.
• Level 1 skills: LOTO assessments and JSA creation; basic multimeter use for voltage and resistance checks; hydraulic, air, and water hose fabrication; hot stamp and auxiliary equipment troubleshooting; drilling, tapping, die work, and thread insert repair; blender and weigh bin calibration; nozzle and heater block wiring; advanced rigging; silicone sprayer troubleshooting; compounding and low- and high-pressure injection fundamentals; and mold change and repair fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Use a technician computer to monitor and record machine statuses and maintain daily records of maintenance or other projects performed.
• Diagnose faults, malfunctions, and mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by consulting blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
• Calibrate or adjust machinery and equipment to ensure quality production.
• Test, troubleshoot, and adjust manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
