Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Process Technician - S-Nickel who will be reporting to the Plating & Processing Supervisor, Weekend Day Shift as the Process Technician - S-Nickel Plating, you will be responsible for maintaining demand for Production. Work Shift: Weekend Days (Friday-Sunday) 6:00 am - 6:00 pm)

Requirements

  • High school diploma, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant plating/processing experience or Process Engineering degree.
  • Experience in measuring equipment and tools.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and work with various hand tools
  • Experience in using calipers and elcometers
  • The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of WHMIS.

Responsibilities

  • S-Nickel plating and masking of aircraft components, including preparation of components, to customer specifications and development of work techniques
  • Tank/chemistry, associated tooling maintenance.
  • Adherence to the PM schedule of tanks.
  • Prep, mask and lacquer as required.
  • Act as a cross functional team member and support S-Nickel plate applications as requested
  • Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work
  • Development in the cell.
  • Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts
  • Observe and adhere to all safety and PPE job requirements.
  • Requires use of PAPR.
  • Multi-task and perform other duties as assigned.
