Reporting to the Plating & Processing Supervisor, the Process Technician - E-Nickel will be involved in the electroless nickel plating of aircraft components. Work Shift: Weekend Nights (Friday-Sunday) 6:00 pm - 6:00 am)

Requirements

  • High school diploma, with a minimum of 1-3 years of previous process chemistry background.
  • Sound working knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers, dial bore gauges and Elco meters.
  • The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

Nice To Haves

  • Prior plating experience would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and work with various hand tools.
  • Strong understanding of WHMIS.

Responsibilities

  • Electroless nickel plating of aircraft components, including preparation of components, to customer specifications and development of work techniques
  • Part fixturing, masking and lacquering.
  • Loading and unloading tanks.
  • Tank/chemistry, associated tooling and PM maintenance.
  • Act as a cross functional team member and support various processes as requested
  • Participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams)
  • Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts
  • Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Use overhead cranes to move parts
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
