About The Position
The Etch Process Technician works alongside technicians and engineers in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment producing advanced semiconductor devices. The role supports Etch process and equipment operations, including troubleshooting, maintenance, tool recovery, monitoring, and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site position on a night shift. Available schedules are B Shift, Sunday through Tuesday from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. with alternating Saturdays, or D Shift, Wednesday through Friday from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. with alternating Saturdays.
Requirements
- Two-year technical degree, equivalent military experience, and/or at least 5 years of directly applicable Etch semiconductor experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Detail- and task-oriented, with a high value placed on customer service, teamwork, and flexibility.
Nice To Haves
- 300mm Dry Etch experience.
- Familiarity with Lam, AMAT, TEL, Mattson, and/or PSK platforms.
- Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Work with Equipment and Process Technicians and Engineers on troubleshooting and maintenance, applying root cause analysis, standardization, and 5S.
- Sustain factory operations by performing tool qualifications, lot dispositions, and interlock troubleshooting.
- Perform assigned trend monitoring regularly and work with Layer Owners to implement corrective actions.
- Draft regular SOP revisions to continuously improve quality and safety expectations.
- Recover Etch equipment after preventive maintenance or downtime events, including wafer recoveries and tool qualifications.
- Document and communicate tool interruption events to Process Engineers so material can be measured and dispositioned correctly.
