Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a semiconductor, manufacturing, metrology, quality, or process environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven data manipulation and analysis skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering, production, maintenance, quality, and facilities personnel.
  • Must respect the viewpoints of others and be able to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and diplomacy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with semiconductor inspection or metrology equipment.
  • Experience with ADE flatness measurement systems, wafer geometry measurement, TTV, bow, warp, thickness, and site flatness characterization.
  • Experience with edge inspection systems and wafer defect characterization.
  • Knowledge of SPC, gauge studies, measurement systems analysis (MSA), and statistical methods.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, evaluate, and analyze metrology data to ensure product quality and compliance with wafer specifications.
  • Identify trends and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot metrology equipment including ADE flatness measurement systems and edge inspection tools.
  • Perform routine qualifications, calibrations, and verification checks to ensure measurement accuracy and system reliability.
  • Investigate measurement anomalies, tool errors, and out-of-control conditions.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with engineering, maintenance, and production personnel.
  • Collect, verify, and analyze metrology data using SPC and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Present findings to production, engineering, and management as required.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance measurement capability, repeatability, and productivity.
  • Work with vendors and equipment manufacturers to support installation, upgrades, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Create, review, revise, and maintain SWPs, SOCs, FMEAs, Control Plans, and other controlled documents to ensure inspection and metrology processes remain current, standardized, and compliant with quality requirements.
  • Maintain equipment performance through routine inspections, preventive maintenance support, consumable replacement, and equipment health monitoring.
  • Perform measurement system studies, correlation testing, and gauge capability evaluations.
  • Support product qualifications, engineering trials, and customer-related studies requiring metrology data collection and analysis.
  • Assist with training operators and technicians on proper use of inspection and metrology equipment.
  • Support 5S program and department continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to SEHA Guiding Principles and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform other projects and tasks, as directed.
