This role will support the blow mold manufacturing department, attending daily critical machine, supporting the mold set-up team, and material and resin team. The Process Technician - Blow Mold will provide support to production to improve process and metrics. They will attend to critical machines and auxiliary equipment daily. The role involves performing foam fixture startup, troubleshooting, and maintaining during production. The technician will troubleshoot problems with blow mold and peripheral equipment and take corrective actions. They will follow Lockdown Process Sheets, Procedures, Visual aids, and Instructions. The role requires working closely with Production Supervisors and Operations personnel to achieve and maintain departmental goals. Maintaining and improving safety and quality (safety devices, guarding equipment, and troubleshooting protocol) is essential. The technician will prepare reports and data collection as directed by their immediate supervisor. They will operate forklifts and cranes to replace molds, if setup support is needed. The role includes starting/shutting down machines and being responsible for machine adjustments. Working with process engineers when having problems on troubleshooting and learning from them is part of the job. The technician will be responsible for First Piece Inspection paperwork (FPI) after startups, color changes, or any machine downtime exceeding 8 hours to ensure parts are produced according to specifications. Ensuring safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported in a timely manner is crucial. The technician must ensure work area(s) are maintained in a clean and organized manner. Other duties may be assigned.
