About The Position

This position operates a mixing machine to blend ingredients into compounds for processing. The role involves verifying ingredients, loading them into the mixing tank, starting and adjusting the machine to achieve the desired consistency, and unloading the mixture. Responsibilities also include cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and performing duties of the Total Quality Lead and other Process Techs in their absence. The job requires adherence to safety and security procedures, following policies, meeting productivity standards, and adapting to changes in the work environment. Punctuality, dependability, and initiative are also key competencies.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Verifies ingredients prior to mixing batches.
Loads ingredients into mixing tank and/or blender.
Starts machine and adjusts valves and devices in mixing chamber to aid in blending and densifying mixture.
Verifies the In-Process Spec sheet and production paperwork is being followed.
Uses tablet to ensure production goals are successfully being met.
Operates machine until mixture reaches desired consistency, and turns lever or pushes button to unload mixture into kettles, pick system, totes, drums, and/or hoppers.
Cleans and sanitizes mixing tanks, kettles, pick system, pumps, pipes, blender, and/or hopper.
Performs job duties of the Total Quality Lead and other Process Techs in their absence.
