About The Position

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company serving the commercial aerospace, defense, space, and satellite industries. The company operates ten sites across the United States and provides services including NDT, chemical processing, paint, and sub-assembly.

The NDT Tech Level 2 performs non-destructive testing on aerospace components to ensure they meet industry standards and safety regulations. The role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and a commitment to quality. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

This position requires access to EAR- or ITAR-controlled technologies. Applicants must be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in non-destructive testing; aerospace industry experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in magnetic particle and penetrant NDT methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
• Eligibility for employment under U.S. export control laws, as the position requires access to EAR- or ITAR-controlled technologies.

Nice To Haves

• Technical certification in NDT.
• Experience in the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct non-destructive testing using methods such as magnetic particle and dye penetrant testing.
• Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
• Document and report findings accurately and comprehensively.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address identified issues.
• Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
