About The Position

Operates mixing machine to blend ingredients into compounds for processing. This role involves verifying ingredients, loading them into the mixing tank, starting and adjusting the machine for proper blending, and ensuring production paperwork and goals are met. The Process Tech III will unload the mixture into various containers once the desired consistency is reached, and is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment. Additionally, this position may perform the duties of the Total Quality Lead and other Process Techs in their absence. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, adherence to policies, meeting productivity standards, observing safety procedures, adaptability to change, and maintaining punctual attendance and dependability.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer or tablet.
Lift 50 pounds 100-200 times during the shift
Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
Talk and hear
Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

Verifies ingredients prior to mixing batches.
Loads ingredients into mixing tank and/or blender.
Starts machine and adjusts valves and devices in mixing chamber to aid in blending and densifying mixture.
Verifies the In-Process Spec sheet and production paperwork is being followed.
Uses tablet to ensure production goals are successfully being met.
Operates machine until mixture reaches desired consistency, and turns lever or pushes button to unload mixture into kettles, pick system, totes, drums, and/or hoppers.
Cleans and sanitizes mixing tanks, kettles, pick system, pumps, pipes, blender, and/or hopper.
Performs job duties of the Total Quality Lead and other Process Techs in their absence.
