About The Position

The Process and System Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence through the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and systems. This role ensures production efficiency, product quality, cost optimization, and compliance with safety and operational standards. The incumbent collaborates cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to implement sustainable process improvements, support new product introductions, and enhance manufacturing performance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
2-4 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or industrial systems engineering roles.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, continuous improvement methodologies, and industrial operations.
Experience in process management tools such as: PFMEA, Process Capability Studies, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering analysis tools.
Knowledge in SCADA programming, preferably in Intouch.
Knowledge in programing language and data base connection, preferably in Visual Basic and SQL.
Knowledge of PLC programming, preferably Allen Bradley.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Catalan and Spanish, spoken and written correctly.

Responsibilities

Analyze, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, throughput, and operational efficiency.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
Support the introduction of new products, equipment, and technologies into production environments.
Identify root causes of process inefficiencies and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, PFMEA, process flow diagrams, control plans, and work instructions.
Monitor key manufacturing metrics such as OEE, scrap rates, downtime, cycle times, and yield performance.
Collaborate with maintenance, production, IT and quality teams to troubleshoot equipment and system-related issues.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.
Support automation, industrial system integration, and process digitalization initiatives.
Participate in capital projects, equipment selection, layout planning, and process validation activities.
Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining operational and product quality standard.
