About The Position

The Process Specialist operates the wastewater treatment plant, ensuring wastewater parameters meet federal, state, and local requirements. This role involves preparing and replenishing working solutions for wastewater treatment, waste management, and washer chemicals. The specialist will also maintain and monitor the RO and Soft water Station, conduct physical inventory of chemicals, and prepare working solutions for the process, including pumping concentrated chemicals. Responsibilities extend to maintaining and monitoring the Coolant Filtration system, performing calibration, cleaning, and checks on pH and conductivity meters. The role includes collecting and processing waste oil from the Coolant Filtration system, maintaining GMP and safety at the workstation, and organizing various waste materials such as waste oil, lacquer/solvent, and sludge. The ability to drive a forklift is required for waste organization. The Process Specialist will audit and manage the washer and wastewater areas, assist production by managing all plant waste streams (hazardous and nonhazardous), and control supply water parameters for the production process in the washer. Additionally, the role involves maintaining, updating, and training team members on the plant's SPCC and spill response plan, and complying with all Health & Safety regulations, rules, procedures, and policies, as well as environmental requirements stipulated in ISO and SQF procedures and guidelines. The ability to wear a respirator is necessary, and the individual will perform any other reasonable duties corresponding to the role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in a similar position, manufacturing industry desired
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Self motivated
  • Problem Solving/ troubleshooting
  • General maintenance knowledge
  • Must be able to wear a respirator.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the wastewater treatment plant making sure that the wastewater parameters are within federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Prepare and replenish working solutions for wastewater treatment, waste management and washer chemicals.
  • Maintain and monitor RO and Soft water Station.
  • Conduct physical inventory of water, washer, and wastewater chemicals.
  • Prepare working solutions for the process, pumping of concentrated chemicals.
  • Maintain and monitor the Coolant Filtration system.
  • Calibration, cleaning, and the ability to check ph-meters and conductivity meters.
  • Responsible for the collection and processing of waste oil from Coolant Filtration system.
  • Responsible for maintaining the GMP and safety of workstation.
  • Responsible for the organization of Wastes Oil, Lacquer/Solvent, Sludge, etc. (ability to drive forklift).
