About The Position
ProVest, a leading legal support services firm, is looking for independent contractors to serve legal documents in West Virginia, with a preference for those residing near Calhoun County. This is a 1099 independent contractor role.
Requirements
- West Virginia residency (near Calhoun County preferred).
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
- Access to a computer, printer, scanner, and email.
- Comfortable using mobile apps for documentation and reporting.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Comfortable using mobile technology.
- Value accuracy, honesty, and professionalism.
Nice To Haves
- Private Investigator experience.
- Experienced Process Server background.
- Law Enforcement or Security background.
Responsibilities
- Serve legal documents within assigned areas.
- Manage assignments using ProVest's mobile apps (PVLS & PSO Mobile).
- Document all service attempts using the mobile app, including GPS-stamped photographs.
- Complete required service attempts in accordance with client guidelines.
- Return completed documents and reports accurately and on time.
- Plan routes and manage your own schedule.
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach at all times.
- Complete 3 to 5 service attempts per assignment, with all attempts on different days and properly documented.
- Visit local courthouses to pick up filed documents and email them back to ProVest when requested.
