About The Position

The Reagent Preparation and Coating Scientist is responsible for the preparation and processing of reagents and coated particles used in diagnostic manufacturing. This role supports production operations, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Associates degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field, required
Proficiency in laboratory techniques including reagent preparation, filtration, and coating.
Basic knowledge of general lab equipment (e.g. pipette, rotator, stir plate, centrifuge; etc.)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field, preferred
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare reagents including System Liquid and QSET according to SOPs and batch records.
Perform spiking, dilution, and filtration of reagents to meet product specifications.
Execute particle coating procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
Utilize SAP for ordering materials and consumables, processing returns for inventory materials, releasing work orders, and kitting out materials for manufacturing use.
Support validation builds for new products and process changes.
Maintain housekeeping standards in the RP and Coating labs to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Participate in cross-functional improvement teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and internal quality standards.
Collaborate with Quality, R&D, and Engineering teams to support tech transfer and troubleshooting activities.
