For more information, go to www.vizgen.com We are looking for highly motivated, experienced Reagent Manufacturing Associates to join our team and help us create a world-class manufacturing organization capable of meeting the needs of our high-growth company. Reporting to Vizgen’s Reagent Manufacturing Supervisor, the Reagent Manufacturing Associate III will be responsible for building components according to production schedules, being the knowledge expert of manufacturing protocols, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and reporting production via work orders.

Requirements

  • Associate’s with 6+ years of experience or Bachelor’s with 4+ years of experience in a reagent-oriented biotech manufacturing role.
  • Experience with RNA/DNA reagent manufacturing a strong plus.
  • Degree in biology or related disciple is preferred.
  • Equivalent industry experience will be considered in lieu of any degree.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in biotech laboratory techniques and common quality. control methods and equipment (pH, conductivity, refractive index, etc.).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • High-energy, highly motivated, willing to work overtime if needed.
  • Strong customer-service orientation, eager to meet expectations of both external and internal customers.
  • Enthusiastic about building an effective manufacturing operation, one that is robust and scalable and able to meet the needs of the company now and into the future.
  • Experience working within regulated environments (FDA, IVD, LDT, ISO, etc.) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills, working with internal and external colleagues and customers from diverse scientific, engineering, operational, and regulatory disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Reagent and consumables formulation, filling, and final product kitting.
  • Knowledge expert at the bench on relevant protocols with understanding of the “why” and “how” of each step.
  • Assisting with development, validation, and release of new products, processes, and manufacturing automation.
  • Assist with creation and refinement of effective manufacturing documentation and production records (Work Instructions, SOP’s, QCP’s, Batch Records).
  • Training of new associates.
  • Reporting production and maintenance of production databases, as well as completing work orders to maintain inventory accuracy.
