About The Position

The Process Safety Management Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a compliant PSM program at the facility using APSM software. This role ensures EPA RMP compliance, updates plant RMP filings with the EPA, and develops/reviews SOPs for the refrigeration system. The coordinator must understand and implement safety codes related to operating an ammonia system, review PMs for mechanical integrity, and ensure accurate piping and valve labeling. This position also involves maintaining PSM documentation and training records, organizing and conducting PSM meetings, and compiling action logs. The coordinator will review documentation for OSHA and EPA compliance, communicate effectively on PSM-related projects, lead compliance audits, PHAs, and mechanical integrity inspections, and track progress on PSM and EPA recommendations. Other duties as assigned are also part of this role.

Nice To Haves

  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Technical schooling with mechanical or electrical emphasis helpful

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a compliant PSM program at the facility using APSM software.
  • Ensure EPA RMP compliance and make regular updates to the plant RMP filing with EPA.
  • Develop and review SOPs for the refrigeration system.
  • Ensure all P&IDs are up to date.
  • Understand interpretations of construction and safety codes as related to operating an ammonia system in a safe and efficient manner and implement such practices.
  • Review all PMs for mechanical integrity compliance.
  • Ensure that all piping is labeled and valve numbers are in place and accurate.
  • Maintain all PSM documentation and training records that pertain to the PSM program.
  • Organize, schedule and conduct PSM meetings.
  • Compile and maintain PSM action item logs.
  • Review documentation for accuracy to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Effective communication with Project Manager and others on PSM related jobs/activities.
  • Lead compliance audits, PHA’s, and mechanical integrity inspections.
  • Prioritize and track progress on open PSM and EPA recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
