About The Position

This role is for Project Manager services in the Capital Projects area. The ideal candidate is a multi-tasking, organized individual who works well under pressure, possesses a love for the scientific method, teamwork, and ethical conduct.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical preferred).
  • At least five (5) years of experience in project management life cycle within a regulated industry.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English).
  • Experience in Process Engineering Projects.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Experience with all project stages: developing documentation to request a quote, generating reports, and leading.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Organized.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities to accomplish within defined scope, time, and cost constraints.
  • Conducts document reviews and analysis of existing equipment, systems, and utility requirements.
  • Develops engineering plans/proposals for equipment replacement and infrastructure improvement design engineering.
  • Provides onsite project execution support and Capital Work in Progress Tracking.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly workplace and implementation area in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Performs risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Manages the generation and control of documentation.
  • Prepares cost estimates for projects.
  • Prepares all required documentation for the formal bidding process.
  • Participates in the evaluation of engineering alternatives and project bids.
  • Prepares project schedules.
  • Coordinates all project activities with contractors.
  • Complies with all Company Environmental, Safety, Security and Quality requirements.
  • Identifies technical problems and recommends solutions.
  • Leads the implementation of capital projects as assigned.
  • Leads equipment and/or process projects from definition, design, and implementation through startup of plant operations.
  • Leads or supports the applicable C&Q cycle by project.
  • Coordinates and assists the procurement of necessary capital equipment.
  • Serves as the single point of contact for the PM.
  • Leads project distributions and resources activities.
  • Justifies capital projects and expenses.
