About The Position

The Process Owner - Fiberline is responsible for coordinating quarterly machine outages and leading optimization projects. This role involves auditing, developing, and maintaining Energy Control Procedures (ECPs), and developing the operating team's capability to achieve business results in safety, reliability, cost, and quality while meeting customer requirements. The Process Owner will provide feedback, coaching, and corrective discipline, assess skill gaps, and coordinate training plans. They will also support team and safety meetings, facilitate continuous improvement discussions, and ensure team members understand and meet customer expectations. Additionally, this role involves facilitating conflict resolution, promoting positive working relationships, driving a strong safety culture, and ensuring compliance with safe work practices. The Process Owner will coordinate day-to-day operational activities, prioritize maintenance work, communicate needs to management, drive the training process, perform gap analyses of SOPs and troubleshooting guides, and assist operators with troubleshooting. Administrative duties include filling vacancies and maintaining payroll records, with operational relief coverage as needed. The role requires a primarily day-shift schedule with some rotating shift requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of work and leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing process improvement roles.
  • Strong ability to learn and apply safe and efficient operating practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, interpersonal, and team-based problem-solving skills.
  • High level of safety awareness and willingness to work rotating shifts as required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate quarterly machine outages and lead machine- and area-optimization projects.
  • Audit, develop, and maintain effective Energy Control Procedures (ECPs) for assigned areas.
  • Develop operating team capability to achieve business results related to safety, reliability, cost, and quality while meeting customer requirements.
  • Provide team and individual feedback, coaching, and corrective discipline as appropriate.
  • Assess skill gaps and coordinate development and training plans.
  • Support and facilitate team meetings, safety meetings, and continuous improvement discussions.
  • Ensure team members understand and meet internal and external customer expectations.
  • Facilitate resolution of team member conflicts and promote positive working relationships.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safe work practices and procedures.
  • Coordinate day-to-day operational activities within the Fiberline.
  • Jointly prioritize maintenance work with shift maintenance personnel.
  • Communicate core process and operator needs to management and support functions.
  • Drive the creation, implementation, and sustainability of the department training process.
  • Perform gap analyses of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and troubleshooting guides (TCCs) and lead efforts to close identified gaps.
  • Assist operators with troubleshooting upset or abnormal operating conditions.
  • Perform administrative duties, including filling on-shift vacancies and maintaining accurate payroll records.
  • Provide operational relief coverage as needed.
