About The Position

This position works M-F, with a flexible 1st shift schedule/hours. The role involves operating equipment used to manufacture detection products. Responsibilities include weighing, measuring, and checking raw materials to ensure proper ingredients and quantities in batches. The operator will maintain inventory records of raw materials, keep accurate batch records and data sheets, and perform in-process tests (such as hardness, weight, variation, pH, and moisture content) to ensure batches meet specifications. The role requires recognizing and troubleshooting equipment and product problems to achieve optimum production levels. The operator must follow written Standard Operating Procedures and verbal instructions for fabricating, inspecting, and packaging chemical-based products. Good organizational and computer skills (Microsoft Office) are necessary for maintaining production records. The ability to safely handle lab equipment/tools and chemicals is also required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
  • Good organizational skills and relevant computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) are required for maintaining production records.
  • The ability to safely handle lab equipment/tools and chemicals is required.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and excellent communication skills.
  • Good manual dexterity, meticulous attention to detail, and an interest/ability to quickly learn new work operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an assembly or production environment a plus.
  • Prior lab equipment experience or background in chemistry/biology a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment used to manufacture detection products.
