About The Position

The Process Operator works in the Deli area in Lakeland. The role involves operating equipment, preparing and breaking down equipment, mixing brines for products being injected, and completing required paperwork. The operator may work in other areas as needed and perform other assigned duties. The position requires working safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, learning and performing all positions, and being able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Demonstrate safe working habits.
Be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently.
Possess general knowledge of machine operation.
Recognize correct spice blends and water combinations used in the injecting operation.
Be able to learn and perform all positions.
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Have good human relations skills, including the ability to work well with others and be a team player.
Be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
Have excellent attendance and punctuality.
Be willing to assist other team members in other areas.
Be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time.
Be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision.
Possess basic math skills.
Be able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment such as the tipper tie, scales, and electric jacks.
Set up and break down all equipment.
Mix brines for products being injected.
Complete all necessary paperwork required for the position.
Work in other areas as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

Holiday Bonus: 15 hours of pay in the first year of continuous employment; one week’s pay in the second year if still employed through the bonus check issue date; and two weeks’ pay in subsequent years.
$2.00 per hour weekend differential for hours worked from 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
