Process Operator - Temporary, Multiple Openings

Requirements
- Five years of relevant work experience in chemical processes and/or a DEC or AEC (diploma or attestation of college studies) in chemical or industrial process techniques, chemical engineering or the equivalent
- A Class 4 (or higher) static-equipment mechanic's qualification card/certificate
- A valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Fluent in French – please submit your resume in FRENCH
- Strong proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to make timely decisions
- The ability to collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality-control rounds and sampling at regular intervals with a critical eye for the operational process and equipment in use by demonstrating operational discipline
- Monitor the status of current maintenance work regularly and perform light maintenance
- Participate in unit and equipment shutdowns
- Respond to emergencies and/or upset conditions in the units following established procedures
- Participate in firefighting training and become a member of the firefighting team on shifts
- Start up and shut down the equipment
- Operate the Control Board
- Take samples
- Take action to resolve potential problems as soon as they are identified
- Conduct pipe alignments, maintenance and all other task required to ensure smooth operations
