About The Position

The Process Operator Plant 1 will safely and efficiently operate the leaching circuits and systems in support of process operations. Comply with State and Federal safety and environmental regulations and SSR Mining policies and procedures.

Requirements

0–1 years of previous plant operations or equivalent experience
Must be trained and pass the circuit test for Process Operations H-5 Circuit plus one additional circuit within 60 days of hire date (refer to the Line of Progression system for details)
Equivalent experience considered for external candidates
Ability to complete work tasks while exposed to weather conditions / elevation.
Arrive at work site with appropriate gear suitable for weather conditions.
Able to work as a productive member of a team.

Nice To Haves

Experience in chemical handling preferred but not required
Experience with HMI, PLC, or other similar control systems preferred but not required
Mobile equipment experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Perform all Tech 1 duties proficiently.
Employees will perform other duties as directed and needed by the company to ensure optimal safe operation.
Assist plant operators in basic plant operations with assistance.
Able to recognize equipment or systems operating outside normal ranges.
Only operate equipment or systems for which training has been provided.
Perform all pre-shift, pre-op and workplace inspections as required.
Communicate all pertinent information during shift as required.
Follow good housekeeping practices.
Complete all necessary paperwork in a complete and timely manner.
