Process Molding Technician - 2nd Shift
About The Position
The Process Molding Technician sets up, processes, and runs first-piece production on injection molding machines that manufacture plastic parts for headlight and tail light assemblies, ensuring the parts meet quality requirements. The technician collaborates with engineers, designers, and management personnel to debug and troubleshoot molding machine issues, cleans hoppers, prepares the area for material changeovers, and performs necessary equipment changeovers. Other duties may be assigned. The position is on the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with overtime as necessary. The work may involve hot work and physical activities including standing up to 100% of the time, lifting up to 75 pounds, overhead work, kneeling, bending, crawling, pushing, pulling, climbing, and working at heights.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of injection molding machine processing experience, or an associate's or bachelor's degree in Plastic Engineering, Plastic Engineering Technology, or a similar plastics field.
- Experience processing injection molding machines that manufacture highly cosmetic plastic parts.
