About The Position

The Process Molding Technician sets up and runs injection molding machines that manufacture plastic parts for headlight and tail light assemblies, ensuring the parts meet quality requirements. The role is on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with overtime as necessary. It is listed as a regular, permanent, full-time position. The work may involve hot work and physical activities including standing for up to 100% of the shift, lifting up to 75 pounds, overhead work, kneeling, bending, crawling, pushing, pulling, climbing, and working at heights. Requirements

At least 4 years of injection molding machine processing experience, or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Plastic Engineering, Plastic Engineering Technology, or a similar plastics degree.
Experience processing injection molding machines that manufacture highly cosmetic plastic parts.

Responsibilities

Set up, process, and run first-piece production for injection molding machines manufacturing plastic parts for headlight and tail light assemblies.
Ensure that quality parts are being manufactured.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and/or other management personnel to debug and troubleshoot molding machine issues.
Clean hoppers and prepare the area for material changeovers.
Perform necessary equipment changeovers.
Handle other job duties as assigned.
