About The Position

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Process Maintenance Trainer for our Phoenix Safety and Health Team. The successful candidate will develop and conduct training programs for process maintenance technicians in all areas of the Process Division to ensure technicians have the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to perform their assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner. Requirements

  • Five (5) years of training or mentoring experience in heavy industry experience required
  • Proven experience in working with peer groups and focus teams required
  • Ability to drive results and ensure completion of time sensitive deadlines required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Demonstrate leadership, coaching, and influencing skills required
  • Ability to promote safety in training and lead by example required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required
  • Proven safe work record required
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to present technical information to individuals and groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
  • Experience developing competency-based training programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain accurate training records in accordance with MSHA regulations
  • Lead transition to Competency Based Training
  • Develop, administer, and continuously improve training programs
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the training
  • Develop training courses based on operational and site needs.
  • Develop teaching outlines and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, meetings, and workshops
  • Selects or develops testing and evaluation procedures to be used prior to and at completion of training
  • Evaluate all training facilitators. Sr and Jr
  • Partner with Process Management to review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Develop and maintain competency-based training programs that promote knowledge retention and operational excellence.
  • Develop 30, 60, 90 competency review process
  • Auditing training programs and materials
  • Assist in implementation of Learning Management System
  • Coordinate and manage site SOP revisions.
  • Plan, manage, and schedule Annual Refresher Training for all employees
  • Assist with site hazard training
  • Assist with the rollout of new training systems and initiatives.
  • Assist with evaluation and re-design of training system
  • Assist with new training systems roll outs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
