About The Position

We are seeking a Process Machine Operator to join our Stock Yards team. This role is responsible for preparing and packing high-quality cuts of meats according to customer specifications, using company standards and adhering to all safety requirements. The majority of the time will be spent operating processing equipment. This is a 1st shift position, Monday - Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, located at our Stock Yards Facility in Spokane Valley, WA. The pay starts at $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work continually in a refrigerated environment (35°F-45°F).
• Ability to lift 11-20 lbs frequently, 21-50 lbs frequently, and 51-100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to carry 21-50 lbs frequently, and 51-100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to push/pull frequently.
• Ability to climb/balance frequently.
• Ability to stoop/squat frequently.
• Ability to bend frequently.
• Ability to reach above shoulder occasionally.
• Ability to twist frequently.
• Ability to grasp objects continuously.
• Ability to manipulate objects frequently.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CryoVac, MultiVac, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutter, laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of all poultry, beef, lamb, and pork products preferred.
• Knowledge of USDA grades and standards.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operation of Meat Processing Equipment; CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales.
• Pack and trim portions of meat products using knives or other meat production equipment.
• Count and stack portions per customer and company specifications.
• Label portions with supplied product labels.
• Set up packing and labeling area as required.
• Perform end of day functions.
• Actively maintain and merchandise partial cart.
• Keep packing area, cutting room, and surrounding area clean and sanitized.
• Follow company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
