About The Position

The primary responsibility of an Item Engineer is the creation, maintenance, and modification of Item information within the ABS application in order to provide consistently accurate information to multiple functional areas within ATI SM in a cost-effective manner. This includes creating and maintaining the product item structure, assessing change requests and impact on the item structure, and maintaining the item master data integrity through the change control process. This position requires extensive use of data analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration/ Operations Management)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with ATI is preferred.
• 3+ years of Oracle Master Data and Oracle process knowledge preferably from a manufacturing background
• Analytical & critical thinking as well as problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective interpersonal & communication skills (written and verbal)
• Attention to detail, organization, time management and prioritization skills.
• Established capability using a scientific mindset or method in creative problem-solving; such as previous involvement identifying opportunities in the workplace and applying continuous improvement models to achieve positive results
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective interpersonal, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to successfully balance multiple tasks at various stages with limited supervision in a fast-paced, competitive environment.

• Ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and timely through the implementation of long-term solutions

Responsibilities

• Review and implement all change requests in Oracle EBS
• Maintain product item structures, review change requests and their impact, and ensure item master data stays accurate through the change control process.
• This position requires interaction with Operations, Quality, Sales, Technology and Cost Accounting.
