About The Position

The Process Integration Co-op supports Process Excellence Engineers and Launch Managers with process analysis, improvement activities, and project work. The role includes supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation through process mapping and collecting data from plants, as well as analyzing current processes using simulation software. The co-op also participates in time studies, methods analysis, process flow mapping, equipment and workstation layout work, and Lean, Kaizen, 6S, and Value Stream Mapping activities. The position engages with shop floor associates to identify the eight wastes and support process improvement.

Requirements

Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
Must have completed at least one semester of sophomore year before beginning the co-op rotation.
Basic experience with data analysis, methods, and graphing.
Creative problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

Assist Process Excellence Engineers with workshops, process analysis, and project management.
Assist Launch Managers with process mapping and documentation.
Support SAP S/4HANA implementation through process mapping and gathering data from plants.
Conduct time studies.
Perform methods analysis and improvement.
Create Process Sequence Flow Maps.
Use simulation software to analyze current processes.
Work on equipment and workstation layouts.
Participate in Lean, Kaizen, 6S, and Value Stream Mapping activities.
Identify the eight wastes in processes and engage shop floor associates during improvement activities.
