About The Position

Tremco Construction Products Group (CPG), part of RPM International Inc., brings together manufacturers, service providers, and brands offering building envelope solutions. During each term, the Process Engineering Co-op learns about and contributes to the polyurethane sealants and coatings manufacturing process, including how manufacturing relates to the teams that support it. The co-op works with the process and quality engineering group to support safety, quality, maintenance, and production processes, with regular interaction with the plant.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Nice To Haves

• Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering focus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead small projects to improve a process or equipment.
• Collect data to support process waste reduction.
• Edit or create P&IDs.
• Work alongside Process Engineers on capital expense projects.
• Conduct meetings to communicate information or collaborate on projects.
• Serve as a backup for Quality Lab Safety.
• Learn and use process tools, including Process Safety Management, Behavioral Risk Improvement, and Lean Six-Sigma tools such as 5S, A3 Problem Solving, Statistical Process Control, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Support safety, quality, maintenance, and production processes in conjunction with the process and quality engineering group.
