About The Position

We are seeking a Process Instructor (Assistant Manager) in Reidsville, NC! This role partners with the shift manager to align on production priorities, staffing needs, and operational goals. The Process Instructor monitors daily operations to ensure team members follow established safety, quality, and standard operating procedures. They provide leadership and operational support by filling in for manufacturing staff and shift manager, as needed, to maintain efficient production flow. This role conducts in-process audits to verify compliance with quality standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. They train, coach, and mentor new employees on critical job functions, operational procedures, and best practices, serving as a role model by promoting a positive team environment, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety and quality. The Process Instructor operates control room systems and quality lab equipment as needed to support production requirements and performance metrics. They troubleshoot and resolve process, technical, and mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. This role collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating clearly and professionally to support shift objectives. They perform general housekeeping and workplace organization activities to maintain a safe and productive work environment and utilize basic computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, to support reporting, communication, and operational activities. The Process Instructor supports continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging strong process knowledge and maintenance experience to drive operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate an excellent work record with proven reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
  • Maintain a meeting or above performance rating.
  • Possess strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a shift, coordinate team activities, and serve as a backup shift manager when needed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with employees, supervisors, and management.
  • Work effectively as a team player who is willing to support operational needs and set a positive example for others.
  • Successfully complete First Aid/CPR Certification or demonstrate the ability to obtain certification.
  • Train and develop new hires across critical operational job functions while reinforcing safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Operate control room systems, quality lab equipment, and manufacturing processes to support production goals and quality requirements.
  • Conduct in-process audits and identify opportunities to improve compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Apply strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve complex process, technical, and mechanical issues.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to evaluate operational conditions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Demonstrate strong process knowledge and maintenance aptitude to support efficient and reliable operations.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Possess basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Perform housekeeping and workplace organization activities that support a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing, production, or industrial operations experience required.
  • Experience following safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
