About The Position

The Technical Project Manager will lead the execution of multiple industrialization and manufacturing readiness projects within a highly matrixed organization. This role is critical in bridging machine installation through full operational readiness, coordinating schedules, resources, and interdependencies across technical and support teams. The role requires a hands on, technically grounded project manager with strong schedule integration capability and advanced Smartsheet proficiency, capable of influencing across functions without direct authority.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (general technical degree acceptable)
  • Minimum 5–10 years of project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Ability to work off-shift or flexible schedule at times as required by project timelines
  • Ability and desire to work on site in a manufacturing environment / This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC Garlington Road location
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Responsibilities

  • Project Execution & Schedule Integration Lead multiple concurrent industrialization projects, including line modifications for capacity increases and new line installations for expanded capabilities
  • Integrate multiple complex schedules (e.g., machine installation, tooling, programming, qualification) into a single master project plan
  • Identify and actively manage critical‑path interdependencies across teams and workstreams
  • Smartsheet Architecture & Reporting Build and maintain Smartsheet project architectures from scratch, including templates, automated workflows, and dashboards
  • Provide real‑time visibility to schedule health, constraints, and risks for leadership and stakeholders
  • Serve as the Smartsheet “power user” for complex, multi-line industrialization programs
  • Industrialization & Operational Readiness Lead scheduling and coordination for machine start‑up, process development, programming, tooling, fixtures, and part qualification
  • Ensure alignment between engineering deliverables and manufacturing readiness
  • Drive disciplined handoff from project execution to production ownership
  • Cross-Functional Coordination (Matrixed Environment) Act as the central execution “hub” across CAPEX, CAD/CAM, Deployment, Development, Quality, and Fixture / Part Movement teams
  • Coordinate daily across technical and support organizations with shared resources
  • Resolve priority and resource conflicts through influence and data‑driven tradeoffs
  • Resource, Risk & Procurement Management Identify resource bottlenecks and negotiate solutions to protect project milestones
  • Track procurement timing and delivery of tooling, fixtures, and other critical purchased items
  • Proactively adjust schedules based on supplier push/pull to minimize impact to start-up dates
  • Communication & Governance Facilitate regular project status and execution reviews
  • Provide clear, actionable updates to technical experts, manufacturing leaders, and stakeholders who will ultimately own the processes
  • Drive structured issue resolution and escalation as needed
