Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of incoming materials
  • Properties and composition of raw material
  • Knowledge of prior processes: warping, slashing, beaming, texturized and spun yarn.

Responsibilities

  • Insure optimum machine settings
  • Work with development engineer to insure weave-ability
  • Approve adoption to production style
  • Quality coming off looms
  • Approval to re-start looms (tag system)
  • See cloth from problem machines at inspection
  • Investigate, implement, and follow up on corrective action
  • Review and disposition of non-conformance
  • Greige inspection follow-up
  • Respond to pages from Inspection Department (as well as supervisor)
  • Check out problem loom: report finding to weaver
  • Develop and maintain greige grading specs
  • Assist weave with quality follow-up procedures
  • Audit of weave quality inspection at Inspection
  • Audit of on-loom quality
  • Audit new warps tied to insure proper start-up
  • Chronic loom follow-up (Compu-trol)
  • High stops by chronic machines and style
  • Directs chronic loom specialist (production associates)
  • Stop level improvement
  • Work from I.E. information (frequency check)
  • Experiment with settings
  • Work with supplier on warps and yarn problems
  • Extensive knowledge of incoming materials
  • Properties and composition of raw material
  • Knowledge of prior processes: warping, slashing, beaming, texturized and spun yarn.
