About The Position

This role focuses on clinical transformation and practice improvement within the Total Quality Management department at Ascension Alexian Brothers. The Process Improvement Nurse will lead and support initiatives to enhance clinical practices, quality improvement strategies, and standardized best practices. This includes collaborating on education and competency development, analyzing performance data to optimize processes, and partnering with interdisciplinary teams to advance safety, quality, and organizational priorities.

Requirements

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Lead and support the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical transformation initiatives, quality improvement strategies, and standardized best practices aligned with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to identify performance and learning needs; develop and deliver training, support competency development, and serve as a clinical expert resource.
Collect, analyze, and report performance data to monitor project outcomes, timelines, quality metrics, and strategic objectives; identify issues and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and clinical outcomes.
Partner with interdisciplinary teams, committees, councils, and professional organizations to advance safety, quality, documentation standards, the Interdisciplinary Practice Model, and initiatives supporting meaningful use and organizational priorities.
