About The Position

The Process Excellence Manager supports and advances the capabilities of the Casegy Manufacturing group at Vertex Pharmaceuticals by enabling process optimization and implementing system enhancements. This is a 12-month W2 contract role through a third-party agency partner, performed onsite. The role is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable federal and state requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a pharmaceutical science or engineering discipline.
• Typically, four years of experience or an equivalent combination of advanced education and experience.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools.
• Strong project-management skills.
• Familiarity with Quality tools and methodologies.
• Advanced knowledge of GMPs and associated CMC regulatory considerations in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and accommodate changes in responsibilities or project priorities.
• Green Belt certification or qualification at a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Use methodologies such as root cause analysis, Lean/Six Sigma, process mapping, analytics, and the DMAIC project framework to identify, analyze, and implement sustainable process improvements.
• Collaborate across functions, including Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain, to develop and deploy standardized tools and best practices.
• Develop and implement metrics to measure different aspects of business operations.
• Act as a change sponsor to support successful implementation of new processes, procedures, and systems.
