About The Position

This is a seasonal, non-benefitted position to run for approximately 3 months. Drive Process Excellence. Improve Manufacturing Performance. Build Better Products. Are you a hands-on technical professional who enjoys solving problems, analyzing data, and improving manufacturing processes? Join our team as a Process Engineering Technician, where you'll play a key role in optimizing production operations, supporting new product development, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing and engineering functions. In this role, you'll be the bridge between Engineering and Operations, helping ensure products are manufactured efficiently, consistently, and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, plus three years of manufacturing process experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Manufacturing processes and production systems.
  • Materials properties, laboratory testing methods, and quality verification techniques.
  • Statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, measurements, and specifications.
  • Process improvement methodologies and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Documentation, technical writing, and process development.
  • CAD software experience (AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar).
  • ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Think critically, observe trends, and identify root causes.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support operational needs in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, quality, or product development environments preferred.
  • Ceramic engineering or ceramic fiber manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor manufacturing processes and machine performance, making adjustments to improve quality and productivity.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret process and product performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate process, product, and equipment issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Support new product development by creating prototypes, testing materials, and assisting with manufacturing implementation.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, drawings, and product specifications.
  • Assist with product estimates, quotes, and manufacturing master data.
  • Train production personnel on new processes, procedures, and best practices.
