About The Position
Volt is immediately hiring for Process Engineering Technicians in Richardson, Texas. In this role, you will support engineering builds, DOE trials, and prototype assembly lots in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will program and operate assembly equipment, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, perform preventative maintenance, collect process data, and document issues and process updates. Additionally, you will provide technical support and training to operators and identify and implement process improvements.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience
- 2+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a similar high-tech environment
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills and the ability to work directly on equipment to resolve issues in real time
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Semiconductor assembly processes such as die attach, wire bond, molding, singulation, wafer thinning/saw, die pick, and related processes
- Prototype, NPI (New Product Introduction), or high-mix/low-volume manufacturing environments
- Basic understanding of SPC, DOE, root cause analysis, and yield improvement methodologies
Responsibilities
- Support engineering builds, DOE trials, and prototype assembly lots in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Program and operate assembly equipment, including mold, grind, saw, laser, and coating tools
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and drive timely resolution
- Perform preventative maintenance, changeovers, and basic equipment maintenance to ensure tools remain production-ready
- Collect process data and support root cause analysis and yield improvement activities
- Document issues, process updates, and changes through logs, work instructions, and shift pass-downs
- Provide technical support and training to operators and production personnel
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times
