About The Position

The Process Engineering Technician will have the opportunity to earn strong experience in chemical engineering and equipment qualification. Your training will emphasize on-the-job experience while blending mentorship and theoretical training. Safety is a critical component of the manufacturing environment. This position will be exposed to numerous chemicals including, but not limited to, acids, bases, and oxidizers. The Technician will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and will be expected to follow all safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and software.
  • Good computer skills including a strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Equivalent software (e.g., Google Docs) is acceptable experience, but the candidate will need to use the Microsoft versions on the job.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, including short- and long-term assignments.
  • Able to stand throughout a shift, lift 40-pounds, work within confined spaces, and perform work in a crouched or overhead posture.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in chemistry or engineering OR equivalent professional experience and a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience as a PCB wet lab technician, as an etch operator with conveyorized equipment, or with repair/installation of conveyorized chemical equipment.
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify new equipment, including hands-on testing and documentation.
  • Support or initiate programs to improve quality in etching, plating, and other processes.
  • Determine acceptability of product and determine whether to proceed or change the process.
  • Determine root cause of defects.
  • Assist in wet lab analysis and operations, including titrations, CVS, atomic absorption, UV-Vis, and testing.
  • Complete routine checks of equipment, process, and product on a regular schedule and execute corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot controllers, conveyorized equipment, and lab equipment.
  • Write and edit procedures.
