About The Position

SEL invents, designs, and builds digital products and systems that protect power grids around the world. This technology prevents blackouts and enables customers to improve power system reliability and safety at a reduced cost. This role provides immediate technical support to manufacturing, assists in measuring and improving yield, efficiency, and capacity of manufacturing equipment and processes, and manages the procurement of assembly process tools. The position also involves documenting, modifying, and maintaining manufacturing related procedures, and training operators and support staff.

Requirements

  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with the manufacturing equipment relevant to the role
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, SQL)
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience troubleshooting process and machinery problems
  • Experience writing and/or conducting Design of Experiments
  • Experience programming and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment and machinery
  • Experience preparing materials cross-sections for microscopic analysis
  • Working knowledge of basic analog and digital electronics

Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate technical support to manufacturing and clarify production process specification requirements to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Assist in measuring and improving yield, efficiency, and capacity of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Document, modify, and maintain manufacturing related procedures.
  • Manage the procurement of assembly process tools.
  • Train operators and support staff as needed.
  • Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
