Spartronics is seeking a Process Engineering Intern for Summer 2026. This full-time summer internship, with potential for part-time continuation in the fall, offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an Engineering degree (Sophomore level or higher)
  • Experience with 3D printing and resin printing
  • Experience with CNC machining and tool pathing
  • Experience with SolidWorks and tooling creation
  • Experience with HSM Express and/or SolidWorks CAM
  • Basic CAD drawing and GD&T knowledge
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems in a production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR (U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents, Political Asylees, Refugees)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of related experience through school projects, internships, labs, clubs, or work experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist process and production engineers with designed experiments, failure analysis, process improvements, and process documentation and procedures.
  • Assist with tooling setup and machine procedures.
  • Design tooling in SolidWorks.
  • Create tool paths for CNC machining and 3D/resin printing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support defect resolution.
  • Design and build jigs/fixtures for complex circuit card assemblies.
  • Support asset management and labeling processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing performance.
