About The Position

Join CelLink this summer and work on high-impact projects that directly support manufacturing operations and next-generation production systems. This is not a sit-back-and-shadow internship; you’ll work alongside engineering, maintenance, technicians, and manufacturing teams to build tools and documentation that improve troubleshooting, accelerate problem-solving, and create lasting operational impact. As a Manufacturing Process & Equipment Engineering Intern, you’ll help capture critical equipment knowledge, organize technical information, and support continuous improvement efforts across production environments. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing systems, process development, equipment operation, and engineering problem-solving while contributing to projects used on the factory floor.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working with large datasets and analytical tools such as Excel, JMP, Python, or similar platforms.
  • Basic understanding of statistical concepts, including Cp/Cpk, yield analysis, and process variation.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize, interpret, and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Curious, hands-on mindset with interest in manufacturing systems and process improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time academic program at an accredited college or university.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship, lab, manufacturing, or data-analysis experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner cross-functionally with Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams to capture and document critical equipment and process knowledge.
  • Develop troubleshooting guides, process flows, setup instructions, recovery procedures, and visual work instructions used by technicians and engineers.
  • Build standardized equipment documentation packages and centralized troubleshooting libraries to improve operational efficiency.
  • Document process configurations, operating parameters, and common failure modes to support faster issue resolution.
  • Audit and improve existing technical documentation for accuracy, usability, and completeness.
  • Identify documentation gaps and create scalable systems for organizing manufacturing knowledge.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and gain exposure to root-cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Analyze process and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
