About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, driven and innovative individual for our Process Engineering Intern position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer in Pullman, WA. Requirements

  • Are a current student pursuing a degree in an engineering or mathematics field at an accredited institution.
  • Have experience in statistical analysis
  • Have experience working with SolidWorks
  • Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
  • Can learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
  • Can flex between working both independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Have background check results satisfactory to SEL.
  • Have negative drug test result(s).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience troubleshooting process machinery problems
  • Experience writing and/or conducting Design of Experiments
  • Working knowledge of basic analog and digital electronics
  • Working knowledge of electronics industry manufacturing processes and machinery
  • Familiarity with modern test equipment
  • Interest in thermodynamics

Responsibilities

  • Implement, modify, and document assembly processes.
  • Assist project execution, conduct experiments, collect and report results.
  • Assist new processes and new component qualification.
  • Design, implement, and modify tooling for process improvement.
  • Provide support to engineering staff and management as needed.
