About The Position
The Process Engineering Intern will work onsite at the company's manufacturing location in Santa Claus, Indiana, during Summer 2027. The intern will review manufacturing processes and help implement improvements using Lean manufacturing principles. The role also involves documenting processes through standard work, participating in kaizen events, and collaborating with Process Engineers on process automation and robotics.
Requirements
- Proficient in MS Office tools.
- Some experience using CAD systems.
- Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing.
- Currently enrolled in an engineering or technology major at a post-secondary college or university.
- Must be local to Santa Claus, Indiana.
- Must work onsite at the Santa Claus, Indiana manufacturing location.
Responsibilities
- Review manufacturing processes and implement process improvements using Lean manufacturing principles.
- Create standard work to document processes.
- Participate in process improvement events (kaizen).
- Work with Process Engineers on process automation and robotics.
