About The Position

NTP-Decatur is seeking a Process Engineer to drive efficiency, accuracy, and innovation across our material flow systems. This role will be instrumental in optimizing processes, improving system integration, and ensuring seamless coordination between physical operations and digital platforms—including Rodeo and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence. Requirements

  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with shop floor or production systems (Rodeo experience is a plus)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and improve material handling processes across manufacturing and distribution operations
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance safety
  • Develop standardized workflows and best practices for material movement and inventory handling
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
  • Oversee and support integration between Rodeo (MES) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP)
  • Ensure accurate and real-time data flow between systems for inventory, production, and shipping activities
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to troubleshoot system issues and implement enhancements
  • Assist in system configuration, testing, and deployment of process improvements
  • Train team members on system usage and process changes related to Rodeo and D365
  • Evaluate facility layouts and recommend improvements for efficient material flow
  • Support implementation of automation or material handling equipment where applicable
  • Optimize warehouse and yard organization to support operational needs
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to material handling and system accuracy
  • Analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide regular reporting and recommendations to leadership
  • Work closely with operations, logistics, IT, and leadership teams
  • Support new expansions or process rollouts
  • Act as a bridge between technical systems and operational execution
