About The Position

As the Process Engineer, you will identify and implement process improvements through the application of sound chemical engineering principles. This position will interact with operators, maintenance, supervision, plant leadership and corporate support personnel. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for this position. Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred)
  • Two years of experience in a manufacturing or food or chemical processing environment required. Relevant co-op experience may be considered in lieu of the two-year experience requirement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex problems using data
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Leadership skills and the ability to lead change
  • Ability to set priorities, manage multiple projects and demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills
  • Flexibility and availability to work weekends and holidays if needed to support department operation

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or food or chemical processing
  • Preferred experience in calcium phosphates, potassium phosphates, and sodium aluminum phosphates.

Responsibilities

  • Identify improvements and optimize processes through changes to equipment, systems, practices and procedures
  • Identify opportunities, develop and coordinate plant projects to improve process capabilities, safety and competitive position
  • Lead and/or coordinate troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking and plant tests with other technical personnel
  • Perform technical and economic evaluations of alternative processes and determine relative costs compared to existing processes
  • Monitor environmental regulations and performance against regulations
  • Participate or lead plant safety activities
