About The Position

We help clients achieve significant financial benefits with high returns on investment without capital investments or software changes. Our Management Consulting Practice is expanding due to client demand across Canada and the US, and we are looking to hire additional Consultants & Senior Consultants for existing and planned customer projects. We are particularly interested in process engineers seeking a career in consulting. Our consultants implement sustainable processes and systems to increase refinery margins by 2-3% without capital investment, achieving tens of millions of dollars in performance improvements within 6-8 months. We utilize data analytics, industry know-how, and technical experience, having completed improvement engagements in over 40 refineries globally. Our unique improvement approach involves three phases: Assessment, Engagement, and Audit. Trindent Consulting offers four core services to refinery clients: Quality Giveaway Reduction, Hydrocarbon Loss Control & Measurement Assurance, Energy Intensity Enhancement, and Value Chain & Supply Optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemicals, or similar.
  • Proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • 3-25+ years of experience in any of the following: managing or improving plant energy efficiency, process plant optimization and gasoline blending, processes improvement methodologies, Energy Intensity Index (EII), Linear Programming, feedstock selection, product mix optimization, sensitivity analyses & unit mass balance programs, preventative maintenance or continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge in tools such as Aveva PROII, Aspen HYSYS, SagePlus, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in data mining and data analysis skills in Excel.
  • Ability to travel to Refinery client sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Process Analysis/ Observations, Data Scrubbing, MOS Critiques, Dashboard Developments, Behavioral Assessments, Area Profiles, Audits, KPI Grids, RACI Charts.

Responsibilities

  • Implement sustainable processes and systems to increase refinery margins.
  • Achieve significant performance improvements within a short timeframe.
  • Utilize data analytics, industry know-how, and technical experience for client engagements.
  • Conduct work in three distinct phases: Assessment, Engagement, and Audit.
  • Provide services in Quality Giveaway Reduction, Hydrocarbon Loss Control & Measurement Assurance, Energy Intensity Enhancement, and Value Chain & Supply Optimization.
  • Travel to Refinery client sites most of the week to perform work onsite.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert for large and advanced operators in the industry.
