This role requires a systems thinker who sees the business and its operation holistically, understands actions and reactions, and considers multiple pathways of potential effect before making decisions. The Process Engineer will constantly challenge the organization to work smarter, support others to ensure they have what they need to do their work successfully, and look ahead to minimize potential issues and maximize advantages. They will drive continuous improvement, understand the ramifications of automation and other advances, and advocate for safety, ergonomics, and scalable solutions. The role involves working within existing structures while striving to improve and standardize them, providing accurate information, and galvanizing others toward common goals. The engineer will leverage knowledge, relationships, data, and perspective to persuade, educate, and navigate, gaining buy-in and adoption of ideas and practices at scale, and interacting with a variety of stakeholders. A focus on things that drive quantifiable business outcomes, evaluating based on quantitative feedback, and explaining the 'why' behind actions is essential. The role requires handling the unexpected without losing sight of important objectives and reacting where greatest leverage points exist. Building rapport and commonality, creating a 'win together' ethic, serving as a liaison between the shop floor and engineering, keeping the pulse of the floor, and helping people feel heard are key aspects of the relationship component of this position.
