About The Position

MACOM designs and manufactures semiconductor products for Data Center, Telecommunication and Industrial and Defense applications. Requirements

  • Automatic wire bonding and die attach experience is required.
  • Capable of following manufacturing procedures and performing hands on assembly of manufacturing prototypes.
  • Knowledge in materials associated with Chip and Wire assemblies. (silver epoxies, bonding Wire, Encapsulants).
  • Knowledge of SMT devices and processing. (PCBA Assemblies)
  • BS or Master in EE, Physics, Materials Science or related Discipline.
  • Computer Literate with basic programming skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively to vendors, customers and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to solve technical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Microwave electronics and or semiconductor manufacturing is a plus.
  • Preferred relevant internships in micro electronics assembly

Responsibilities

  • Continuing improvement of MTAtesting / assembly process flow.
  • Yield analysis and low yield events for Opto and RF parts.
  • Innovation and maintenance of the fixture and Auto Handlers
  • Capacity and Capability studies and analysis.
  • Cost reduction programs.
  • General Process / Product Sustaining activities.
  • BoM/ Drawing / Router ownership for production released products.
  • Capable of training operators in process operations.
