About The Position

Join a premiere equipment manufacturing organization to optimize production workflows, elevate safety, and drive continuous improvement across large-scale metal fabrication and finishing operations. As a Process Engineer, you will lead high-impact engineering projects, collaborate cross-functionally, and directly influence bottom-line throughput and quality. This role leverages advanced process mapping, capability studies, and Lean Manufacturing principles to build world-class, cost-effective manufacturing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent combined technical experience).
  • 2+ years of hands-on engineering project experience within a metal manufacturing or industrial finishing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software, with Creo and AutoCAD preferred.
  • Practical expertise in Lean Manufacturing techniques, including FMEA, root cause analysis, capability studies, and process mapping.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing computer systems.
  • Proven ability to take a project lead role, manage multiple aggressive deadlines, and communicate technical details effectively

Responsibilities

  • Examine production operations, finishing processes, and equipment to identify actionable opportunities for safety, quality, throughput, and cost optimization.
  • Select and implement efficient manufacturing methods, tooling, jigs, and custom fixtures while applying modern organizational assembly concepts.
  • Conduct capability studies, time studies, and process mapping to reduce cycle times, scrap rates, and rework costs.
  • Develop comprehensive process documentation, standard operating procedures, and Visual Work Instructions for shop floor operators.
  • Lead project coordination, daily troubleshooting, and active participation in Kaizen events to drive a continuous improvement culture.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals for capital equipment purchases and prepare technical recommendations for machinery acquisitions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across production, quality, maintenance, and purchasing to ensure equipment runs in peak condition.
