About The Position

We are seeking a results-driven Process Engineer to lead and support operational excellence initiatives within a fast-paced Automotive Tier 1 manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving improvements in safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and employee engagement through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to identify opportunities, eliminate waste, improve processes, and support a culture of continuous improvement throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within Automotive Tier 1.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Experience with Six Sigma tools and statistical problem-solving methodologies.
  • Understanding of automotive quality standards including IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with machining, stamping, assembly, injection molding, or automated manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and data analysis tools.
  • Experience leading Kaizen workshops and cross-functional improvement teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, scrap reduction, and cost savings.
  • Facilitate Lean Manufacturing activities including: Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standardized Work, Visual Management, SMED, TPM.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and production data to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Utilize problem-solving methodologies such as: 8D, A3, DMAIC, Fishbone Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans.
  • Support launch activities and process improvement projects for new and existing programs.
  • Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to operational performance.
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to improve OEE, throughput, scrap, labor efficiency, and downtime.
  • Train and coach team members on Lean principles and continuous improvement tools.
  • Support customer and internal audits related to manufacturing processes and operational excellence.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the plant.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for plant leadership regarding CI activities and project outcomes.
